Our last BBQ i held there, which turned out AWESOME, was also on the day of a METS game. Funny how there was reg traffic on the way to the park, lol.

Let's hope the same for April. Date still stands on April 15th.
Cant change the date cuz the rest of the month will b all carshows. :)

Eric, fellas......directions to C.Morley Park:
NJ Tpk to the GW Bridge. Pay toll :D and continue to the Cross Bronx Expwy (95N). Stay on the Cross Bronx till you see the signs for the Whitestone Bridge and the Throgs Neck Bridge. Take the Throgs Neck Bridge exit (295S). Pay toll again :D Once you cross the Throgs Neck Bridge (be carefull of speed traps) continue onto the Clearview Expressway (stay in the middle or right lanes) Then you'll see the exit sign for the Long Island Expressway. Take the exit for eastern Long Island. (you take the wrong turn, you'll wind up going west) Once on the LIE keep going east and take exit 36 (Searingtown Rd.) At the light make a left onto Searingtown Rd.......the park will be to your right.

Whatever directions you want to take to get there does not matter.....the directions I gave Eric is the northern route and put u about 9 exits to the park. Z-Mans' directions is the southern route, nothing wrong going that way but it puts u guys into one of the roughest roads in Queens (BQE 278). Going the middle way via Holland or Lincoln Tunnels thru Manhattan in the late morning or early afternoon is not adviseable due to cross town traffic.

one problem with your directions... the veranzano doesnt just dump you out onto 495, you have to either brave the BQE (mike this was that long winedy shitty road) or take the belt pkwy east to the van wyke expressway north to the lie which dumps you right in front of shea, or go further east on the belt to the clearview exprwasy north which willbump you at exit 29 on the lie, then you would take the lie east to 36...folow from that poin...
