i have been talkign to dave at Club lexus, who organized the first lexfest last august. they are still in tlaks, but most likely its going to be in ATLANTA this year at the motor speedway down there.

who would eb willing to make the 800 mile trip? i know im down to go, and we could get a ton of footage on the way down.

It's "so far" because it was "so far" for east coast folks from GA, FL and other SE states to attend last year in MD :). We'll rotate it back north next year and south the year after so we can get coverage all up and down the east coast. Hopefully we'll get some cool caravans up and back as a tradition.

We're updating the web page for registration and I'm lining up the meet hotel this week.

It will be the last week of September - Sept 29 (Friday arrival), 30 and Oct 1. There IS a big Sunday event with the Petit Lemans where we'll have pit passes to check out all the cars including the Team Lexus IS350 GT car

To each his own. I'm 28. I'm still not married, and still no kids. That I know of anyways. I will go to lexfest, it will be a really fun trip for whoever makes the trip. We will have a wonderful time whether its 4 of us or 24 of us. I don't want to be 50 and regret not having fun and doing shit like this. Lifes too short. ^we will ride in a caravan. but we will keep it small. too many peiople causes problems, accidents, etc. i have seen it too many times. it will be probably 5 or 6 of us together from the NE departing from nj(my house). id say departure sometime thursday evening, we will decide the closer we get.

i am possibly trailering my car. no, not becuase i dont trust it or think ti will break. but if for some reason one of the cars in our caravan runs into problems, we can take my ca roff the trailer and drive it down. and then put the car that needs repairing onto the trailer. we can also put 4 or 5 spares, luggage, and a buttload of tools into the FJ cruiser. and it will keep us moving to atl in record time.

For those who have never driven more than 8hrs, its pretty damn easy to do 600 miles in 9hrs. I have done this countless times.

You just cant have 60-80min rest stops more than once. or else you never reach and you get lazy.

How i do it is while we are on line for gas we send a few folks into the rest area with the food order. Im not about sitting and lounging in a rest area.

Obviously there will be some change with the Team Lexus IS350 GT2 car not racing, but I've working on the change in details directly with Lexus Corporate and Road Atlanta for a couple of weeks now and will post more information as soon as plans are confirmed.

We are still targeting the Petit Le Mans as the Saturday event, indoor cart racing at Andretti's for Friday and the awesome Georgia Aquarium for Sunday.
