1) Osmosis- Kevin - Need to remove CDD, also I have hotchkis springs which I bought for $120, if anyone is interested, I'm selling them for $120, brand new. Decided not to install them cause of subs in my trunk. Too much hassle.

2) mikefate - mike - change rear differential fluid. swap tranny fluid to synthetic. possibly take passenger A-pillar air bag out, and run wiring thru and hardwire radar into the map light
***anyone want to buy my plp underbody panel??? 200 bucks***

3) wenger828 - derrick - CDD removal and bleeding of lines, and calipers painted. maybe find something else to do on the car as well?

4) GraphiteSportDesign - Dave - shock install, brake lines install, possibly header install if have time.

if im the mike your referring to, im still 50/50. i might go up to de's house in boston this weekend. and i just did some front end damage to my car, and also bent a rim and screwed my alignment all up. last friday was not a good day to say the least. at least me and eric went out for beers, and ended up with some champagne though. ill try and stay around this weekend and come to the meet. i have been in a helpful mood lately, so im down to lay on my back all day saturday and do some work before it gets cold

i still have the underbody panel hanging off my car. car is "grounded" right now. havent driven in over a week now. i still am considering keeping the panel, i think i can dremel the metal to accomodate the oil return line, and premel the front for the and piping in the way.

let me see how my fogs come out first before i go jumping into doing someone else's. let me fuck mine up and learn what to do/what not to do first. hahahaha. fi they come out good we can just swap them if you want, and ill take yours and paint them while you use mine or whatever. im still debating on going up to de's, he wants to do some custom "ss customs" work on my head/tail/fog lights

my plp panel got all bent up and all teh bolts ripped off from the bumps. the rim got bent from a minor altercation i had 2 fridays ago. and the bumper is ok, i fixed it. and i fixed the other stuff that broke off the unerbody. im just waiting on a new rim right now

yea, i wont be gettin off of work around 2ish, so i'll probably be there at like 3 maybe. things i want done for sure is get springs installed. then i wanna replace the cdd with the female2female brake union, and probably get calipers painted. i doubt i can get to all of those though.

Mike has the wrench that we need and I am sure he'll bring it tomorrow. If not, his house is very close to mine.. we can just pick it up. As for re-filling it, we can probably pick up a pump from pepboys.. it makes it A LOT easier on us. My friend has it, but, he is FAR from my place.. I will try to reach him in the morning though and see if he wants to drive up to my place. If not, we can just pick it up at pepboys or autozone. :)

We finished Dave's shock install. Man, it was a P.I.T.A. Dave and I started his shock install around 9:30.. and didn't finish till like 6. We also did his ss brake lines. Dave and I haven't done the install on an IS before, so, we were kinda just taking our time and making sure we were doing it right. Thanks for Mike for directing and being the enforcer. LOL. Lesson learned and def ready for the next one. :D

JR, replaced his fluids (brake and power steering). He also wanted to do his diff, but, we didn't have time to do it. Derrick also stopped by wanting to do his springs, but, we def didn't have enough time for that. We just did his CDD.

I wanna thank you guys again for helping me out, it was a learning experience for all of us. A spring/shock install is a pretty involved process. I'm sorry we couldn't do Derricks, but if anything I let him borrow my spring compressors.

I had a few issues with my car today, but I'll see if I can fix them.

haha its all good. im workin on them as we speak. i was up from 11pm to 5am in the morning and only managed to get the rear left spring on. i was working alone so it sucked. i think i used every limb i had and had my spare jack hold things up as i tightened.

at least we got one car finished(dave). i would have liked to get derrick's car done, as it wasnt THAT cold yet. hopefully we catch a warm weekend before december to get ti done. if we can get 4-5 guys on it, we cna get the car jacked and have 1 person working on each strut/spring to get it done within a couple hours. the heineken def helped also. hahahha. and thanks to eric and his brother for the hospitality and the popeye's chicken and biscuits. and thanks to JR for the ride home.

what issues? im guessing with the brakes? becuuse you realyl cant fuck up the spring install. its either in or not in. let me know what brake prolems wyour experiencing. if needed, we can replace the front lines this weekend. you realyl should have oem lines in front with SS lines in rear, its got to be throwing the balance off with the brake pressure

Mike, the brake lines really arent an issue, the brakes still feel like stock though. However, one of my wheels is making noise. It sounds like a creeking or scratching sound 1/2 of the wheel revolution. I was thinking maybe the rotor or brake pads got misaligned or something? I mean we did step on the calipers like crazy lol, maybe we fucked something up.

^ From the front? You probably need to readjust the brake pads in the calipers. Lesson learned: Do not push down on the caliper when doing the front shock, jack it up and slide the shock.. bottom first. :)

Hopefully you can figure what is causing it quickly.

Yeah, take the wheel off and check the caliper. Maybe the piston that pushing that brake pads got mis-aligned when we were stepping on it.

I had the wheel off and I couldn't tell what exactly was causing the problem. The rotor seemed to be on there fine, but I didn't take apart the caliper so I think that's the problem.

The shocks seem a LOT stiffer on turns, but only a little stiffer over bumps, I am satisfied.
