When I was looking into buying an MR2 (back in the day), they would always drive up Bear Mountain:
- 2002 (http://www.cynikal.net/~mike/2002/mr2_bearmtn/)
- 2003 (http://www.cynikal.net/~mike/2003/mr2_bearmtn/)
- 2004 (http://www.cynikal.net/~mike/2004/mr2_bearmtn/)
Anyone take a drive up there before? Let's schedule something for Spring..

as long as the roads are nice i am up for it.

Lets do it!!!... maybe something like april.
most of you guys are too young to know how to drive safely in a group, much less with turbo cars....... I smell a disaster waiting to happen.... I will pass on this idea.

you sound like those cops that give the ticket to the younger kid in an accident just bc of his age
^^^^ No I have just witnessed pretty stupid things with my own eyes from IS300 drivers including excessive tailigating, abrupt braking, and countles near misses. I have seen a GS400 lose it and do a 180* at 100mph into a cement wall in CT because a young driver had something to prove. those who were there will NEVER forget it.
That wasnt directed toward you specifically, but with inexperienced drivers like the genious that was trying to do a burn out in the middle of a circle of parked cars with people walking around and trying to fix Peters car.... it doesnt leave much hope for common sense to prevail.
And FYI... Driving Skill DOES come with age. Playing Need For Speed Underground does quite cut it :) I personally drive much safer and much more aggressive than I did 5yrs ago. and even safer than I did 10yrs ago. You just live and learn - thats the truth.

thats very true....
...back in high school my senior superlative was "Worst Driver" because I was one crazy mofo behind the wheel.
as i got older and made my mistakes and learned from them my driving skill improved completely. I'm nowhere near as bad a drive now than i was back then. and for those of you who've seen me drive and think thats bad, well think that times 10x when i first got my license...

you see rich.. that "genious" tryng to do a burn out in the middle of....(witch was my cousin)..that was pretty dam stupid, tried to test out a clutch, knowing it was slipping. but thats not the point..it was pretty stupid and at the wrong time i must admit...but i just wanted to say he is 24 yrs old...a lot older then many of us is300 drivers,so it isnt really about the age. im only 19 Yrs old..soon to be 20,and not to sound cocky but few can drive like me. its all about experience, knowing how to "measure" cars. you just simply have to know wat your doing.
Drive sounds like fun .... dont get me wrong.... I have just sadly realized that given the opportunity ..... people will do stupid things to impress their peers as well as "the camera" After seeing superjoe total a GS400 in under two seconds You wake up to the reality.
I think dan still has a hole in his stock front bumper from all the flying debris that rained down on the IS300's following him!

You have to set rules before the cruise.. but, most likely.. everyone will not abide to it.

Well, if no one follows the rule than it's not a cruise. ;)

theres some roads out in west PA as well that i cruise on with a few cars. if anyone feels like 'abiding' by 'rules', and if we are all 'mature' enough....we should definitely check it out. i'll have to get more info.
but the bear mtn cruise is hot...i've been there before. either way...you always encounter stupid people, just try not to be that 'guy' ;)
