Spring Meet(s)/Event(s) Ideas?? [Archive]

Spring Drive (Marc started this on .net)

Here is the post Marc started with some details on the 'drive'..

UPDATE:

I did the drive today, and it was really nice....some nice smooth roads, some windy, straight away, etc....

for those not familiar with this Northern NJ area, here is the MAP, with BLACK the route..

Wherever we decide to meet first, I'd say likely either at Willowbrook Mall or perhaps further up north on route 23 for people who might be come up from rt 287.

the main route of this cruise, is Route 23 North, to Route 515 North, to Route 94 South (Mountain Creek Ski Resort), then back to Route 23 South.....

any other input or insight, feel free to share...

well, I think thats nice for the SUMMER.....

I think a SPRING meet/cruise up to BEAR MOUNTAIN is a good idea too...

People will have their cars out from the winter, the weather is warmer, a good way to start the season to meet new people since its the most attended event.
Mall is less crowded compared to now as well.

as much as I agree, I still think we need to give it a shot this coming sunday, just because people want to do it...it is what it is.....

I agree, but, Palisades is Palisades.. (hehe, even though I've never been to one yet). I wonder what the turnout will be like if its held during warmer months? ;)

I'm looking from the window of my work place. It's a huge parking lot, a lot next to where peeps did autocross in camden about 2 years ago. (Eric you know what i'm talking about)

For You Information. The parking lot you're looking at (the lot I'm suggesting) is next to a gov't facility, meaning very secure and safe section of camden. The scary side of camden you're referring is North Camden. We're on the other side.

For those of you who's scared of Camden, needs to learn your shit about Camden. Camden, like any other cities, got good neighborhoods and bad neighborhoods. The news that you're reading about, where shootouts and crimes are being generated are in North Camden. The place of meet is at the west side of camden. (Water front) where constant cops stroll by (nice camden po-pos).

It's a scenary place, where lovers, kids, family walk on the waterfront during the day time.
