yeah Spring will definitely do. Plus during spring time, we can actually open our hoods and be there chilling instead of doing nothing in the absolute cold.
In any case, our forum is growing.. but mostly growing IS300 ....
so to you IS300 fockers ;)

Let's get some ideas rolling for this meet.. suggestions?
mikefate
11-23-2005, 12:02 PM
i say we have a roosevelt park meet again. or maybe brunswick square mall in eats brubnswick. we can have a saturday morning emet before the spring nationals, then all go to etown together since its only like 15 minutes from there
Dtrip77
11-23-2005, 01:32 PM
hmmmm^^^^ not a bad idea
ElusiveCBR600
11-23-2005, 02:44 PM
I suggest the meeting should be btween NYC and Delaware.
I say new brunswick
mikefate
11-23-2005, 02:47 PM
theres really not too many lowered car friendly roads/places in new b. unless we meet at the loews theatre/famous daves
ElusiveCBR600
11-23-2005, 02:48 PM
well, for sure, I don't want to drive to NY, nor do you guys want to drive to southern Jersey neither. So that's why I say New Brunswick...
MYIS300T
11-24-2005, 02:03 PM
I dont care either way. I ll get there... Famous Daves has some good BBQ.
ElusiveIS
11-24-2005, 04:18 PM
^ and they have a pretty decent size parking lot.
ElusiveIS
11-24-2005, 04:19 PM
..but traffic in the New B. sucks, so, a cruise after lunch would probably be out of the question. We'll see.

We need to hold it at a tuner shop, I can ask my brother to DJ for us. Maybe a Turboeast|EM BBQ? ;)

great idea. im sure we could persuade jeff to use his property. plus he would geta lot fo free press. and it could be the final step in a lot of peoples boost decision. and it wouldnt realyl be a problem for him cause hsi shop is always super clean and organized - unbelievable clean and organized for a mechanic.

I say we have a drive. Take some nice pictures through some nice scenery make a vid clip also. Then afterwards we can have a bbq at someones house? or just go to a nice restaurant.
Marc, was gonna be hosting that drive last fall but it fell through. I think this spring will be great for it. If Marc doesn't feel like bringing it together then I will.

11-26-2005, 03:29 AM
^^ that is an excellent idea, Peter! Maybe we can ask Marc to help out on the route again. I know he has something planned.
ElusiveIS

Here is the post Marc started with some details on the 'drive'..
UPDATE:
I did the drive today, and it was really nice....some nice smooth roads, some windy, straight away, etc....
for those not familiar with this Northern NJ area, here is the MAP, with BLACK the route..
http://www.clublexus.com/gallery/data/500/13597MOUNTAINCRUISE.GIF
Wherever we decide to meet first, I'd say likely either at Willowbrook Mall or perhaps further up north on route 23 for people who might be come up from rt 287.
the main route of this cruise, is Route 23 North, to Route 515 North, to Route 94 South (Mountain Creek Ski Resort), then back to Route 23 South.....
any other input or insight, feel free to share...

Paul,
First question I wanna ask is, 'Whats your HP goal'? Then we can go from there.. ;)
Cost really depends on you and your goal(s).
You are right about reliability.. but, if you maintain it well then I do not see why it can't be reliable. I plan to drive mine everyday and everywhere. :D

^^^ have $10,000 to start. and at least $5000 on the back burner to cover problems, breaks, etc. boost is a pretty big decision. took me almost 2 years to finally make the transition. seriously think about it. you could get a turboeast S1 kit installed for 4 or 5 thousand, and put down 300 at the wheels(about), but i honestly cant see anyoen stayign satisfied there. you would end up upgrading. which is more money. and more dedication.
whatever you do, dont go for a boosted is300 test ride. it will 99% convince you go with boost. (thanks marc and rich)
