I have to get my car inspected. it's been 7 months since it expired. I also have to install my new exhaust since the pipe on my old one rusted at the bend and now has a hole in it. PLUS, my insurance company needs to have pictures of my car so i dont scam them. heres the thing. i want to get it all done at one place, which is possible. the only problems may be that i have tint still on my passenger window and a banner. my car got broken into a while back and thats why there is no tint on the driver side. will these two things be a problem for inspection.

STS can take the photos for you and send them to your insurance company. They can probably do the exhaust as well.
The passenger tint might be a problem because NJ does not allow any tints on the front windows at all. I bought my car in PA and it had tints, I had to remove them to pass inspection. Unless... you find a place that will work with you and overlook the tints (if you do, let me know.. :) ).

It really depends on how picky the inspector is at the station. If he/she is cool, you might get away with it by rolling down the window. In regards to the banner, you will definitely be failed for that. NJ has a law that prohibits any decal to be placed on the front windshield. Your best bet is to remove that banner or you'll definitely come home with the REJECTED sticker.
But if you plan on getting that banner out, might as well fix the rest of the problems that may cause you just in case.
Worse case you can always put it back together immediately after you get inspected. NJ allows you 2 years till the next inspection :)

Another thing you could do, is find shady gas stations that do inspections. Talk to the guy about your problem and then throw the guy a 100 and he might be willing to pass you. Thats what i did for my tints.
