..this was taking from our post on .net. Maybe Tom can update us on the upcoming 2006 schedule

"I think we should try to arrange a a track day at pocono - north course. It would prob cost anywhere from $160-180 for the entire day/ person. It would be broken up into run groups, each run group would get 4, 20-25 minute open sessions. Begginer groups wuld have vehicles equiped with volunteer instructers. We could run it similar to the way EMRA runs there time trials you saw in my videos. Emra does have an open event coming up at pocono north on September 11th. Click here if intrested...

Look at the section for time trials. I suggest pocono because it has a lot of run off if you screw up as compared to the Glenn which is all walls.(pretty much)

Pocono north is a very good beginner course. It is all late apex turning. Helps you find the line and learn the limit of your car. Emra limits the number of cars per event to 125. If we could get at least 80 people we might be able to host our own lexus day at pocono.. whos intrested lets start a list

Well I have been looking into this. The problem isnt the number of cars or the basic day fee, it happens to be the insurance. Fo rsome reason, probably a very good one you need to have some kind of insurance for this type of event. Im still looking into it. Our best bet may be to contact emra or Entropy Racing. I am still exploring all the options.

I was talking about this with George Ioannou of RTC www.racingtech.net who tuned my car and will be doing the engine swap....he's a long time Porche club racer who's raced at Watkins Glen many times as well as pocono....the trick is, to race on a "test and tune" event there....where Insurance would cover you're car, in case of an accident....otherwise, any sanctioned type of "race event" would nullify any normal car insurance.....and then there is much risk involved and you are on you're own....

Yes this is true... if we go during a HPDE it is not a times event, it is an educational event so technically it is not a race or competititon.

I am going to have to take exception with the claim that Tom is with Entropy. Entropy Racing Hosts one NASA event a year at Pocono, and services all NASA Northeast, and PDA events but we do NOT certify instructors for any of these events. We have a small staff of instructors all of whom have no less than 100 events under their belt and many years of experience and a proven skill for teaching.

Having said all that i may have met Tom at a NASA event and he may be a fine instructor. I need to clarify that he is not "with Entropy Racing" and I do take exception with the fact that someone who may have instructed at an event that I was involved with has included himself in my staff.

I don't wish to seem negative or difficult, but Entropy Racing provides a myriad of motorsports services including professionial coaching and instruction and i will not abide someone I don't know helping himself to my professional reputation.
