Do we really need the Rep system? Think about it, we're all grown men here. We talk to one another about anything cars on this site, we flame and make fun of each other, we meet for B"days, bbqs, installs and so forth. Tho not everyone can attend and be present at any of our function, we still have this site to be to be in touch as a group. To me the rep system is for kids. It's like "Oh you've been a good boy, heres a piece of candy." or "You've been a bad boy and I'll take that piece of candy away from you". Grown men, specially among a close knit group do not need this. For me a simple acknowledgement like "Thanks" go a long way, specially amongst friends.

What do you guys think, should we get rid of it????

It was an option on the forum.. you are right, we do not need it, but its a good thing to have. The rep system is just not when someone gives you one, but, it actually counts your post.. etc. The more post you do, the more powerful your rep is. :)
